In a city overflowing with thousands of divine dining experiences, choosing where to eat in New Yok is generally no cake-walk. However, Supper is a must. Whenever people ask me which restaurants I recommend they try, I put Supper at the top of the list – a list that includes the likes of major New York instutions Balthazar, Babbo, and Raoul’s.
Supper is one of those wonderfully unpretentious eateries that packs its tables simply through word of mouth. Supper offers a mainly family style setting in cozy space of exposed brick walls and warm lighting. The menu is reasonably priced – cheap by Manhattan standards – especially considering the quality of the food. I feasted upon a nicely done bruschetta, pumpkin ravioli, and a glass of red. My share of the bill, including tax and tip came in around $25.
Without a sign or a clearly marked street number, it’s very easy to miss. For those of you who’ve trekked around looking for Supper, here’s the run-down: 156 E. 2nd Street East between A & B. If you’re coming from the west, Supper is on your left-hand side not far from the corner of Avenue A. http://www.supperrestaurant.com/
